A t SuiteWorld 2025, Oracle NetSuite unveiled NetSuite Next – a bold reimagining of its cloud-based ERP platform with AI embedded at its core. Leading this transformation is Brian Chess, Senior Vice President of Technology and AI, whose role encompasses everything from cloud infrastructure and security to the platform’ s extensibility and, most recently, its AI capabilities.
Speaking to Technology Magazine at SuiteWorld, Brian sat down to discuss how NetSuite is navigating the AI revolution, all while keeping human enablement firmly at the centre of its strategy. With AI adoption accelerating at break-neck speed, Brian’ s perspective is refreshingly measured: rather than pursuing autonomous systems, NetSuite is focused on augmenting human capabilities and making business management software more intuitive, accessible and powerful.
NetSuite’ s relationship with AI Brian’ s role at NetSuite has evolved significantly in recent times. On the technology side, his remit covers“ everything about what puts NetSuite in the cloud,” he explains, which he breaks down as“ everything about security and compliance and performance and reliability”. This extends up the software stack to encompass“ everything that makes NetSuite extensible”, including search and reporting and platform functionality.
