From here, the challenge for Varun’ s team at Berklee lies in balancing evolving technology with a rapidly changing music industry. Even just five years ago, the landscape was significantly different, with digital technology, automation and AI transforming production workflows and distribution. And, with Berklee students in need of spaces reflecting current industry practices, a room’ s configuration has to support modern workflows, if not it fails to prepare students adequately.
“ The music industry itself is evolving every day, influencing the way artists interact with it now,” he explains.“ This means when I’ m designing, developing and maintaining multiple spaces, I’ m not just thinking about the technology.
