And with everything in a central platform on AWS, story teams can review, pull selects and manage assets together from anywhere, shortening the path from field to publication.
This modernisation is particularly vital given the scale of the Society’ s global reach.

“ Today, we fund about 3,000 active Explorers representing more than 140 countries. Our Explorers are the heart and soul of National Geographic and they’ re on the frontlines of our planet’ s most pressing issues, helping to safeguard nature and capturing the great stories of our time.
“ At any given moment, our Explorers are recording footage from wherever they might be in the world and that footage is typically hand delivered by those teams when they return to Base Camp, our headquarters, here in Washington DC.
