NASA ’ s Ingenuity drone pictured before a successful test flight which saw it become the first aircraft to carry out atmospheric flight from takeoff to landing on a planet other than the Earth . The flight was controlled autonomously by the drone , owing to the prohibitive distance between the two planets .
