Anthropic, the creator of the Claude LLM, is just one of the companies replacing human jobs, specifically white-collar and entry-level roles, with AI-powered automation tools.
CEO Dario Amodei has been vocal about the looming obsolescence of traditional entry-level roles.
Dario has predicted that AI could replace up to 50 % of the white-collar workforce, specifically targeting repetitive yet variable tasks.
“ If we look at jobs like entry-level white-collar... I think of people who work at law firms, like first-year associates, there’ s a lot of document review,” he said.“ It’ s very repetitive, but every example is different. That’ s something that AI is quite good at.”
“ I think, to be honest, a large fraction of them would like to be able to use it to cut costs to employ less people.”
However, AI automation of entrylevel associate work removes the vital training foundation needed for developing future senior leaders in professional services.
Ultimately, by replacing junior roles with AI today, companies risk creating a hollow middle, leaving them with powerful tools but no experienced leaders left to run them in the future.
