The digital era has put a spotlight on IT talent and technical skills , but CEOs want leadership skills , too . Deloitte ’ s 2019 Global Human Capital Trends report found that 80 % of respondents rated leadership as a top priority , behind only learning ( at 86 %) and human experience ( at 84 %). The report also highlighted that most executives don ' t feel that their organisations have the leadership skills required to take the company forward .

The report by Deloitte also revealed that more could be done in the area of public service organisations as 62 % fail to take advantage of new technologies because they are not responding positively to IT innovation .
