MISSION ROCK RESIDENTIAL
“Demand for apartments is higher than it ’ s ever been . That ’ s not just today , that ’ s been trending for the last 15 years ”
MARCELLA EPPSTEINER CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER , MISSION ROCK RESIDENTIAL
The company has partnered with REBA , a leading real estate business analytics provider , to develop robust analytics capabilities around its operational and financial data . This partnership allows Mission Rock to take a metric-driven approach to all aspects of its operations , from property management to internal processes like help desk performance .
“ We ’ re using a product called REBA BI to help us jump start analytics around our operational and financial data ,” Kevin highlights . “ We ’ re undertaking a much more metric-driven approach , which looks beyond operational data to include information like help desk and social metrics to understand what ’ s being asked of our support teams , and where the pain points are at the communities .”
By leveraging REBA ’ s expertise and advanced analytics platform , Mission Rock can derive deeper insights from its vast pool of operational and financial data . This focus on data analytics allows
Mission Rock to identify trends , optimise operations and make timely informed decisions based on real-time information .
As Marcella adds , this commitment to data-driven decision making extends to all levels of the organisation , from property-level operations to executive strategy . “ One of our major differentiators is how we use data to inform our decisions , track our performance and guide our future direction ,” she says .
A cautious approach to AI adoption While Mission Rock is exploring the use of AI in several areas , including chatbots for resident communication and robotic process automation ( RPA ) for repetitive tasks , the company maintains a cautious approach .
As Kevin emphasises , balance is essential : “ AI is a great technology , but we also need to recognise and consider the risks it introduces across our processes . We ’ re prototyping several robotics process automation scenarios to help us reduce the manual , time-consuming , repetitive tasks . We ’ re also testing and gathering insights into Microsoft Copilot and where it adds value to our corporate support teams .”
This cautious approach doesn ’ t mean Mission Rock is shying away from AI . Instead , the company is carefully evaluating where AI can add the most value while being mindful of potential pitfalls , particularly around data privacy and regulatory compliance .
