and operational costs in half. This modernised foundation puts EXA in a prime position to support the rapid surge in high-capacity infrastructure demands across the continent.
“ There’ s probably plans to build about five gigafactories across Europe,” Ciarán adds.“ We’ re well positioned to market ourselves as the connectivity between all those gigafactories. That’ s how we are addressing the supercycle – by being available, having network ready and working with partners like Nokia to quickly deliver planning cycles for more network.”
How networks use AI for dynamic operations While advanced networks are essential to keeping AI scaling, the relationship flows both ways. Network operators are increasingly deploying AI tools inside the physical and optical layers to automate management, prevent congestion and dynamically route traffic across global footprints.
“ Networks themselves need AI to evolve, using trusted data and intelligent automation to simplify operations, improve resiliency, optimise resources, keep pace with a much faster innovation cycle and adapt at software speed,” David says.
Rodney adds:“ Networks provide the connectivity and capacity that AI requires, but AI is increasingly transforming how networks themselves operate. By leveraging predictive analytics and automation, network infrastructure can identify potential issues before they impact service, predict component failures and automatically initiate corrective actions.
“ This reduces manual intervention while improving reliability, resiliency and operational efficiency at scale. In many ways, the relationship is symbiotic: networks enable AI by moving and processing vast amounts of data, while AI is helping networks become more intelligent, automated and self-healing.”
This internal integration is where technology partners like Nokia and network owners like EXA merge their hardware and software layers. Using AI inside the network allows providers to seamlessly manage traffic, monitor ongoing operations and prevent congestion.
