» This will indeed be a game changer. Once we have in place the necessary data and AI governance, both internal and external users will be able to benefit extensively. I see two very different approaches from our stakeholders: some are eager to embrace new AI technologies and others remain cautious, concerned about where the data is stored and how it may be used. In all our discussions, we emphasise the importance of European digital sovereignty.
As with your question above when you asked me what the biggest technical challenge was, the answer is similar. I don’ t see technology as being the issue – again, it is all about adoption by people.
Once users feel psychologically safe with the technology, they will make the best use of it to ensure that operations are safer, more efficient and more sustainable. If we fail to demonstrate how the data is protected and governed, they will not follow us. That is why we are using all the lessons learned to bring about change and support human adoption of data and AI.
