“ Since we announced our Google partnership, we had a few bits to do,” Jo says.“ One of the massive things was we needed to get out of our on-prem data centres and onto Google Cloud Platform.”
The migration took three months in total, with no downtime.
“ It was the fastest and largest migration ever done on the GCP. We planned to do it in 12 but we did it in three using AI. AI agents did 95 % of the work for us in a very safe and controlled way. It was important for us not to have any downtime because a lot of retailers rely on our platform. When they have got 24 / 7 businesses, they are not going to want our technical choices to impact their operations.”
