PERSONAL ID
Putting aside the ethics of tracking citizens or employees , blockchain potentially has all the qualities for strong personal identification and could be used for passports , citizen ID cards , visas and employee records and verification . The robust and secure nature of the technology makes it a great fit for digital voting , while it could also be used in public records to track anything from births , marriages and deaths ( hatch , match and dispatch , as it was known in newsrooms ) to company and public sector record keeping .
DEATH AND TAXES
As well as BDM certification ( see personal ID section ), blockchain could have a number of other applications in the mainstays of life : death and taxes . Inheritance could be tracked over multiple generations , wills would be securely stored , updated and retrieved . Medical records , too . And the famously difficult job of keeping tax records could be made efficient , faster and compliant .
