On cooling, Marc identifies heat extraction as a persistent constraint.
“ It’ s the extraction of heat that is the biggest challenge and that isn’ t just CPU related,” he says.
It is a problem addressed through coolant distribution units and related equipment as well as ongoing support from Schneider Electric once systems are running in a facility.
“ We have 6,000 field service engineers across Schneider globally supporting data centres in their day-to-day operations and lifecycle maintenance and modernisation of equipment,” he adds.
Rise of the neocloud Much of that demand comes from a newer type of customer. Schneider Electric and Motivair’ s work with TeraWulf is one example.
