Switzerland ’ s largest city scored highly with SCIR in particular on a number of factors put into sharper focus by Covid-19 – healthcare and safety . Zurich also has excellent education , efficient transport systems , culture and open spaces that make it an attractive place to live – but what of its tech ? Well , it all began with a simple , and ingenious , concept – the Smart City Tower . This streetlight only came on when required , could charge electric cars , measure traffic , provide WiFi , collect data , and could even find you a parking spot . Now , if only every streetlight had that functionality .
