A key aspect to the clinical transformation was the implementation of Epic , an electronic health record solution comprising a number of modules used across the medical centre , in order to standardise the provision of care with best practices , as well as decision making tools . “ We ’ ve got modules implemented in the lab , pathology , oncology , in the operating rooms , in the ambulatory setting and for all our outpatient clinics ,” adding that “ we ’ re looking at additional modules .” According to Epic , its system serves over 50 % of the US population . “ The Epic team is truly dedicated to ensuring that their customers are improving the communities they function within ,” commends Wakim . “ They ’ re constantly pushing us to provide KPIs and monitor our performance in order to look for opportunities to improve ourselves or introduce additional training .”
